Based in Goteborg, Sweden, Nudie Jeans, a subsidiary of Svenska Jean AB, was founded by Maria Erixsson in 1999. The fashion brand specializes in selvedge, raw and prewashed denim jeans. Together with Acne Jeans, WESC and J. Lindeberg, Nudie Jeans is among the successful and internationally known Swedish brands in the world.

The essence of Nudie Jeans is that it stays true to denim and its character. The fabric ages beautifully like wine. Jeans becomes personal. Denim becomes your second skin. That is “the naked truth about denim”.

Nudie Jeans uses organic denim. Cotton is developed through environmentally sustainable production. Ecological procedures are applied through different processes including spinning, dyeing and yarn finishing.

Men’s jeanswear fit guide features:

Nudie Jeans Average Joe: Straight leg and slimmer leg opening than Regular Alf.

Nudie Jeans Boot Barry: Straight cut, slight bootcut and normal waist.

Nudie Jeans Flare Glenn: Wide bootcut and straight flare silhouette.

What do the famous new wave English 80s band, The Flock of Seagulls, and the Buddhist god of prosperity or the Japanese folk god of money have in common? It’s Evisu jeans. The love for vintage jeans and disappointment with cookie cutter modern denim led Hidehiko Yamane to start the Evisu brand in 1991 in Osaka, Japan.

Evisu jeans became known for its hand painted seagull logo (Kamome) and its name. Evisu, Evis or Ebisu is the Japanese folk god of money who is represented by a fish and a fishing rod. Later on, Evisu jeans charmed the detail obsessed tastes of the Japanese youngsters and then eventually fashionistas across Europe, America and the globe.

Several product categories engulf the Evisu brand:

Evisu Heritage: An ultra premium denim collection seasonally evolving with fabric developments, denim processes and fits.

Evisu Mainline: Commercially styled cuts in trademark Evisu design.

Evisu Deluxe: Haute couture style within a denim element.

Evisu European Edition (“Eu-Ed” or “EEE”): Italian designed washed denim collection with distinct European flare.

Evisu Genes: The Old Navy entry level price segment for Evisu.

Evisu Kizzu/ Bonsai: Kizzu for babies and Bonsai for children up to 12 years old.

Evisu Saburo Special: Business, evening and formalwear blending Evisu’s Japanese Style Craft heritage and Saville Row’s bespoke tradition.

Evisu Puma: Brand collaboration of Evisu and Puma towards a collection aptly named “True Love Never Dies”.
