The Carhartt brand is well known for its work clothes and utilitarian garments throughout the world. Founded in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt, the Carhartt label has consistently provided Best-In-Class apparel, rugged & durable materials, superior quality standards and comfortable fabrics for the skilled trade active worker.

In 1994, Carhartt started to expand in Europe through a partnership with Work In Progress Textilhandels GmbH company. Since then, the collaboration has grown to capture the European market effectively through market penetration and influence in the youth (teens to mid 20s) streetwear scene. Growing out from Kentucky and Michigan, the Carhartt label has expanded its operations and distribution to Europe, Middle East and Africa. Furthermore, the company also diversified its clothing line to Carhartt EMEA Workwear for the European market, Carhartt Streetwear for the active youth, Carhartt Canada and Carhartt for Women. Today, the company still remains as a family owned operation.
