The Quality Mending Company, located on Prince Street in New York, is a brick and mortar store where you can find vintage clothing, antiques, props and new accessories. The shop was founded by Oliver Harkness. When he arrived from London in 1989, he opened a vintage outlet on Ludlow Street. After that he launched the Eleven shop on Prince Street which became one the city’s sought after vintage clothing provider. Canvas bags, head gear, footwear, leather accessories were a hit. Fairly recently the name Eleven changed to The Quality Mending Co.

Currently, the shop carries raw selvedge denim jeans with the “The Highrider” as their initial pair. The shape is modeled after the 1960s Levi’s 505 jeans. It has a 14oz sanforized non-shrink dry denim from Cone Mills, threads from North Carolina, solid copper rivets from Kentucky, pockets from deadstock WWII Swiss army bed linens and assembled on Union Special & Singer industrial machines. These jeans are proudly American made.

Geometry states that an equilateral triangle is a three sided polygon in which all three sides are equal or even equiangular. In culture and society, equilateral triangles can be found on archeological sites, modern architecture, religion as a representation of the trinity and even everyday road signs.

On the other hand, a quadrangle is nothing but 2 connected triangles. It’s any four sided shape which doesn’t need any right angles. It also does not have to be a square, rectangle or rhombus. In architecture, a quadrangle is usually a rectangular space or courtyard.

The equilateral triangle and the quadrangle are signature elements used by Germany based former model and fashion designer Patrick Mohr. His style is eclectic eccentric and avant garde streetwear. It’s deconstructed and grungy.

Patrick Mohr’s Quadrangle Jeans just launched October 2009. Last December, the initial batch of denim just arrived in select stores around Germany. (Pool in Munich, Gold in Cologne, Azita Store in Frankfurt and Extrafein in Berlin)

A complex name like hydrargyrum could be a cool brand of wetsuit. Or, imagine wearing a distinctive piece of boardshorts that could give you superhuman powers. Hmmm. But whether it may be similar to a liquid silvery chemical element like Mercury or moving and thinking at superhuman speeds like a Marvel Comics Avenger, Quiksilver, in its unique identity, possesses super boardriding style ideal for surf, skate, snow and wake culture.

In 1970, Alan Green, previous Rip Curl wetsuit and sheepskin UGG Boots producer, and John Law formed the Quiksilver brand. They ripped apart and reinvented the old trunks into a comfortable design appropriately fit for the avid surfer and water sport junkie. Later on Jeff Hakman and Bob “Buzz” McKnight joined in to establish a warehouse and distribution center in Newport Beach, California. Since then, the Quiksilver brand and company grew massively capturing the minds and lifestyles of the youth.

Quiksilver‘s prowess includes loud and outrageous fashion designs. Furthermore, huge input from top surfers, snowboarders and skateboarders helped mold the clothing line in catering to fellow enthusiasts around the world. The product endorsement from the industry’s top personalities like Tom Carrol and Kelly Slater, to name a few, magnified the brand’s market presence. By incorporating another brand, Roxy, the company stimulated women’s participation and candor. With a socially passionate and environmentally conscious approach in sponsoring and creating momentous events globally, Quiksilver has even strengthened the community.

QuiksilverEdition is born out of the board riding roots of Quiksilver. The essence still resides but it seeks out more than your youthful casual fashion. Clothes are good for day and night activities. The style is more refined and understated. The collection offers clean and tailored lines.
