There may be a lot of Joes in the world. The average middle or working class American can be the Ordinary Joe, Joe Sixpack for males or even Average Jane for females. John Doe can be a placeholder for a male whose true identity is unknown or must be withheld for legal reasons. We have Joe the Plumber who is actually a real person and was given this moniker during the 2008 U.S. presidential election. In everyday life, a cup of Joe means a cup of brewed coffee. In Japan, Jōe, meaning “pure cloth”, is a garment worn by priests attending religious ceremonies and activities, including but not limited to Buddhist and Shinto related occasions.

On the other hand, Joe’s Jeans is not just your Ordinary Joe. The company was founded in 1987 as Innovo, Inc. In 1990, it changed to Innovo Group Inc. By 2007, it reinvented itself as Joe’s Jeans. Founder and creative director, Joe Dahan, strives to create fits to a variety of body types while maintaining a standard of excellence, commitment and distinction. Aside from various department stores nationwide, the company has expanded its distribution internationally to France, Italy, Japan, UK and Hong Kong. Their tiny needle arch back pocket stitching and JD logo are their signature design.

The name “Johnny Love” may sound like your hometown rocker or a modern day Casanova, but this JohnnyLove is more than that. Based in Norway, JohnnyLove is a full menswear line combining the tradition of tailored clothing, sophisticated approach to menswear and edgy modern streetwear. Their outerwear, jackets and coats have fashion forward designs and edge appeal.

The denim jeanswear are classic Scandinavian casual luxury. JohnnyLove uses high quality denim materials from both Japanese and Italian mills. The jeans offer some unique functionalities. The non-stretch waistband keeps your shirt in place and you will never have to size down. There’s an extra button to the fly, which will relief tension to the zipper, and keep the zipper hidden. Besides the basic coin pocket, they’ve added a small zip security pocket for keys or credit card.

Behind JohnnyLove is trio made up of designer John Vinnem, Mikkel Eriksen and Hege Eriksen. Better known as one part of Stargate, Johnny Love’s Mikkel Eriksen has had an enviable string of hits since arriving in the United States, including Rihanna’s “Only Girl in the World,” Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow,” Katy Perry’s ”Fireworks,” among others. Stargate has had repeated success, most recently earning a Grammy for ”Only Girl in the World.”

Already distributed in Europe’s finest stores and boutiques, the trio are expanding the distribution in the United States. Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Boston, and Ron Herman are among the US stores that have picked up the new line.

Together with America’s momentous historical transformation through President elect Barack Obama, Michelle Obama’s wardrobe ensemble brings J.Crew into a new defining light. But with “all politics aside, J.Crew outfits, do indeed, receive our vote.”

In 1947, Mitchell Cinader and Saul Charles founded Popular Merchandise, Inc. (Popular Club Plan) to sell affordable women’s clothing through home demonstrations. With the rise of catalog retailers such as Lands’ End, Talbots and L.L. Bean, the company focused on leisurewear for medium high echelon consumers yet priced in the middle. The preppy spirit was born and the operation dubbed as “J.Crew” saw through the first J.Crew mail in catalog in 1983. The success of the initial campaign launched a second catalog program in 1985 called “Clifford & Wills”. In 1989, the company totally changed its name to J.Crew Group, Inc. and set its first brick and mortar retail store at the South Street Seaport in New York City. The addition of Millard Drexler as CEO and Chairman in 2003 brought a fresh inspiration and creativity to the company. Since then, J.Crew has expanded to 206 retail stores, 69 outlets and a solid online presence in Canada and Japan.

“You got the LOOK!” Imagine a TV ad campaign where a topless woman in tight jeans was riding a horse through the ocean shores. That’s right. It was in 1979 when Jordache debuted their first aggressive print and television campaign featuring sexy half naked models. This controversial fashion advertisement exploded into popularity and propelled Jordache jeans in the designer denim phenomenon.

Jordache’s history originated in 1978 as an international apparel brand by founders Joe, Ralph and Avi Nakash. The 1980s paved the way for Jordache jeans to expand its reach with numerous licensees and products including women’s outerwear, jewelry, dresses, luggages and many more. However, the 1990s was a marketing slump for the company as it lost its prestige. In 2004, Jordache Enterprises launched Jordache Vintage denim line to commemorate its 25th anniversary. Today, Jordache is inching its way to the trends as it signed Heidi Klum as the new face of Jordache jeans. The campaign was shot at Chateau Marmont Hotel in West Hollywood, California, USA. Supermodel Heidi Klum was only adorned wearing a Jordache Falcon Crest Skinny jeans in dark indigo and holding an equestrian leather whip.
