A paradoxical and almost sacrilegious monicker to the central figure of Christianity would definitely draw attention to the faithful and the faint of heart. A crown of thorns as part of the logo jolts the senses of traditionals and conservatives. The gsus brand shakes it all up.
Based in Amsterdam in The Netherlands, the gsus brand started out in a skate shop in Arnhem back in 1993. What began as selling funky prints, pinstripe cargo pants and the infamous fur bikini from a car trunk, paved way for gsus sindustries, which carries the gsus brand, to estabish their first real office building in an old warehouse in Amsterdam. By now, the company has managed to sell their apparel and fashion line in 27 countries around the world. Furthermore, in order to connect to the streetwear scene and the communities around them, they have organized infamous parties (Meubelstukken – Club Filth, Slaapmuts – Club 8 and Heavens Playground – Westerstraat) which have been endorsed and attended by hundreds of people worldwide.
The gsus philosophy teaches us that “It’s not always about the big things either; it’s the ability to appreciate the small things that really matters… There are so many things out there to discover, you just need to keep an open mind and take a closer look.”
It all sums up in two words: “Keep discovering.”
