In the 1990s, “Naked and Famous” was the name of the song by post-grunge punk rock band The Presidents of the United States of America. Today, Naked & Famous is a jeans brand that uses the most unique and rare Japanese denim. The textile mills from Japan combine old school and modern methods to produce the kind of denim purists will love.
Controversially, Naked & Famous Denim is actually a satire of our celebrity obsessed culture. Newspaper and magazine headlines often replace viable news stories with a dumbed down glorified celebrity hype. “Hollywood” and “Glamour” brands sell hundreds of dollars for a pair of jeans which Ms. X wears. They sell at these accelerated prices not based on its quality but because it’s the new miracle drug.
To complement its satirical namesake, the Naked & Famous Denim logo is inspired by a 1950′s Pop Art. During that era, the “ideal blonde” was a satire of mass media and culture.
Canadian brand, Naked & Famous Denim, is all about raw and simple. No washes. No embroidery. No embellishments. No knick knacks. No gimmicks. They showcase their denim jeans with modern fits and the best fabric that comes from Japan.
