Dereon Jeans and the Dereon Collection are the casual apparel and junior lines of the House of Dereon. The fashion company under the House of Dereon was founded by R&B singer-songwriter and actress Beyoncé Knowles and her mother Tina Knowles. The name Dereon is from Beyonce’s grandmother Agnez Dereon. She was a French Creole Louisiana native who became a well known seamstress catering to a private clientele in Louisiana.

The style and essence is rooted and inspired by three generations of women in their family. The Dereon Jeans and collections, on the other hand, is more of a collaboration between Beyonce and her sister Solange. They both bring fresh and playful fashion ideas and incorporate them with boldness in their designer denim jeans. Trademark styles include the fleur de lis or fleur-de-lys lily flower symbol on the back pockets and heavy embroidery and embellishments on the rear and side seams.
