“Fun Comes Usually Kneeling”. “Fondle Constantly Until Knackered”. “lucky fcuk“. “hot as fcuk“. “no fcukin worries”. Amidst all the pun and controversy intended in jeans and clothing, it’s all just stylishly done in “fcuk fashion”. Founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks, French Connection offers fashion forward clothing with a quirky twist on design.
Since 1997, French Connection has developed a sexy, stylish and edgy brand identity. The discovery of the acronym FCUK simply from a fax sheet from their Hong Kong store (FCHK) to their London headquarters (FCUK) provoked an advertising campaign that shocked and amused the world. Coincidentally, the campaign monumentally shaped the French Connection brand and personality which carried on throughout the years. Now, the fcuk name is undoubtedly synonymous with the French Connection label.
