Glitter as Gold. The AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans and brand were founded in 2000 by denim expert Adriano Goldschmied and jean manufacturer Yul Ku of Koos Manufacturing in South Gate, California. With an extensive background of launching new denim brands and innovating ways to produce vintage jeans, Adriano Goldschmied decided to start his own line and represent his long term vision. Yul Ku, on the other hand, was also greatly involved in denim manufacturing throughout the years. He has produced jeans for Abercrombie & Fitch, A/X Armani Exchange, Gap, J. Crew, Lucky Brand and Polo Ralph Lauren. When Adriano Goldschmied approached him in 1999, they realized that this was their opportunity to merge their jean visions and conceive their denim dreams to life.

Today, the once small boutique line continues to expand throughout Canada, Asia and Western Europe. Furthermore, AG jeans has gained a lot of publicity with Hollywood celebrities personally wearing its clothing line out in the public.

AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans and brand take pride in their development methods in producing vintage washes. They conduct an extensive research on fabrics, styles, details of vintage washes from flea markets and vintage shops all over the world. The denim fabrics are outsourced from various mills in Japan and Italy. Their Los Angeles factory houses up-to-date embroidery machines and even pumice stones to create stone wash effects. Sanding the jeans, grinding the pocket edges, making abrasions are all hand made. After the laundry phase, each pair of jeans is inspected, trimmed and pressed.
