5EP Jeans

A t-shirt, a woven shirt, a jacket, a pair of chinos and a classic pair of designer jeans. Those are the five easy pieces of clothing essential to one’s wardrobe collection. This principle is the spearhead to the 5EP jeans label by Denimafia Inc.

Christine Rucci and Barry Tumer founded the 5EP jeans brand in 2004 in New York to focus on an ageless, undated and classic jeanswear. Inspiration is rooted from vintage collections like album covers, antiques from flea markets and archives of the New York public library. The timelessness of 5EP Jeans encouraged celebrities and media personalities to devote on their own to the brand.

5EP Jeans collections are engaged in the past time periods. Last fall 2007 designer denim and clothing lines are named “The Greenwich Village Story”, which is from the the 1963 film about the birthplace of Hootenanny. The style mixed western beatnik features with rockabilly traits. Evidence show from 5EP Jeans’ military style hand cut selvage jeans, pants from dead stock fabric, low slung Kick Back chinos, “teastained” yarn dyed broadcloth, denim western shirts, classic Henleys and vintage corduroy jackets. Jeans, specifically, have “Straight-Down” zip fly, “Low Down” boot cut, “Dark Worn Wash” colors.

The 5EP Jeans women’s line also had that vintage looks with low down slim cut in Dark Worn and One Wash jeans, Old Time denim overalls, sexy low back stretch velvet and denim cluster coats, knit Henleys, antique shirts with plaids and stripes and bib tuxedo shirts.

With a classic pair of designer jeans and four more essentials, you’ve got a timeless 5EP Jeans wardrobe. “Less than is equal to greater than with five easy pieces.”
